Local Shorts Submission Guidelines    

Each short movie must be accompanied by a completed entry form. Entries must be submitted on Mini-DV tape, DVD, or standard VHS tape. Short films up to 15 minutes(ish) are requested for submission. Either the submittor or the movie should have some local connection to Albuquerque or New Mexico.
Your film, if accepted, will fit into one of two categories, as deemed by the people at Local Shorts: "all age appropriate," or "not recommended for kids."

We reserve the right to refuse any submission or categorize any film according to our discretion.

All entries must be received by 12 noon, July 12th, 2008. Notification of acceptance into Local Shorts 6 will occur by July 18th, 2008.

SHIPPING

Cost of shipping is the responsibility of the entrant. Tapes/DVDs must be sent to the festival prepaid. C.O.D.'s will be refused. All tapes/DVDs must be labeled with the title of the entry and the name of the director.  Local Shorts accepts no responsibilty for damage or loss of materials.

RETURN OF SUBMISSION TAPES/DVDs

We strongly encourage you to only send materials you do not wish to have returned. Please do not send us masters, original, your only copy, etc. Videos/DVDs will not be returned unless requested, please mark the appropriate box on your entry form. Tape return shipping must be provided with a self addressed, postage paid envelope. Allow 8 weeks after the festival date for returns. Although due care will be exercised, Local Shorts cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged tapes/dvds.
